| Getting a Permit |
The Town maintains an active program of inspection, code enforcement, planning and zoning. Voluntary citizen groups, such as the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Board of Zoning Appeals, provide vital community support for this program. Permits for buildings and signs are required prior to all new construction, additions, and rehabilitation of properties within Town limits. Permit applications can be made at the Town Office, where a pamphlet is available that describes the permit process. |
The zoning and permitting process is uncomplicated. To accommodate light manufacturing, warehousing, service, and office users, the Town of Princess Anne developed the Industrial Park Zoning classification. Accompanied by flexible land covenants, the Town is committed to maintain an attractive industrial park for all present and future businesses, their employees and customers. Due to the small size of local government, the zoning and permitting process has been streamlined. In many instances, applicants will communicate with only one person during the permit process. |
